I am an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Department of Social Sciences at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf and leader of the research group CIMT that investigates the chances and challenges of involving citizens in political decisions in the context of sustainable mobility transitions. My research focuses in particular on the role of citizen participation for legitimacy beliefs and how these are related to the substantial “quality” of citizens’ contributions to such participation processes.
